I read an article about a Swedish mobile company called The Mobile Life whom predicts that the worlds new internet users will be in the emerging market and perhaps the evolution of social networks/communities will be within mobile. Here is the full story: http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2009/04/the-mobile...

This is a natural process of evolution. One must keep the perspective that sometimes technology is the content. The reason hotmail or facebook or U-tube do well was the innovativeness of the technology. But like any new toy the consumer said what now. Reason all these companies have not been able to get a hang of their revneue models is becuase of their users as kids who have been given a toy by an indulgent parent analogy, which is digressing from the point you made.

Everything that a consumer uses was useful, entertaining, educative at some point, but needs to evolve. To give another analogy, first X-box or PS3 is the news but afterwards the software is the news (new games become the reason to interact with the product).

In short I believe I said the same thing, just differently.
