		<description>The real-time connectivity of information including video shares fundamental factors needed for it to be rapidly adopted and have impact:

&gt; The basic level of real-time experience is similar to voice and text messaging in simplicity of use. 
&gt; Voice was the first mobile real-time mobile/anywhere function.  Voice communications does not take special learning beyond operation of the device - it maps to normal human experience.  Real-time search, video, location, and social networking can be similarly contextual experience but will be varied and more difficult to develop. Google provides a good example of companies trying to make sense out of the soup of information that can be tailored to the user&#039;s current interests, location, and connections.  

The potential for Real-Time web is almost the stuff of science fiction novels:

&gt; The impact of information increases as the it becomes more immediate and tied to current objectives.  Studies show an exponential benefit can be achieved.  The limits will remain in how to make search of information increasingly relevant and easy.
&gt; The potential for social networking are enormous:
   - Objectives based social networks and anonymous search networks. For example: a person searching for a restaurant,  a hotel, or engaged in complex research on a finite area of technology or social science could be shown links/snippits of others.  Clicking on one or more individuals icons might refine the search to similar experience/interests.  Once refined, a connection could be to see opted-in research results and notes or make a personal connection. 

As search engines become smarter and tailored to place and human experience the potential increases to leverage collaboration.  At this stage search is more a cataloging of information that the user reacts.  The potential is to make the experience multi-dimensional: place, interest, shared experience (the closer in time, the more relevant), and collaboration.  The collaboration between people, organizations, ad-hoc groups that communicate using real-time video, text, voice, and shared search resources has huge potential.

What is clear is that 1) Real-Time communications is here now and companies and individuals can start taking advantage of it via mobile BB networks. 2) The industry has only started to tap into the potential. 3) Open development environments will help innovation to occur that builds upon the foundation search, video, voice/messaging, infrastructure.
