Telecom Circle (TC) is an open networking organisation for communications, media and advertising industry professionals fostering cooperation and business development through virtual and live networking events to share ideas, best practices and trends. Telecom is a broad term and includes all the aspects of communications – Fixed Line, Mobile, VAS, Internet and Social Media.
Telecom Circle was founded in February 2009 with the Gurgaon chapter meeting at a local pub called “Keg & Barrels”. The idea was to form a group of passionate professionals from different companies to share their experiences and discuss the problems and opportunities within the industry. The idea was similar to that of Mobile Monday but the format is a little different. Mobile Monday is a bigger platform but the opportunity to interact on one to one basis is limited. In this forum, the ideal chapter size is not more than 10 people so that all the people can get involved in the discussions and can form a professional bonding. Also, there is no limit to the maximum number of chapters that can be there in a city. The groups can be discussing general topics or specific topics and the choice is left to the individuals in the group. The individual chapters decide their rules related to membership, frequency of meeting and discussion topics.
Telecom Circle invites individuals to form chapters in their locality, suburb or city and share their experience, learning or fun times with us. We would publish the events on Telecom Circle. TelecomCircle.com is a social community site to facilitate the live networking events. The individual chapters can form online groups on TelecomCircle.com and interact with each other sharing their experience and opinion. TelecomCircle.com also attempts to provide resources, reports and views on various issues facing the communications, media and advertising industry. The endeavor is to cover as many varied topics as possible and also provide a platform exclusively for telecom professionals to interact physically and virtually.
Experienced telecom professionals are writing articles on this site. The intent is to share the experiences and also learn in the process from the comments of the readers and members. We would encourage readers to leave a comment on the articles (good or bad).

Before joining the league of Marketing Technopologists, Deepak has been a versatile brand builder. He has worked on various consumer durable and FMCG brands. For last few years Deepak has been associated with product development and marketing of Internet and Mobile Internet domains. An alumni of Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) and IMT Ghaziabad, he is passionate about academics too.
Chibuzo Okoro has a wide ranging experience in mobile and telecoms spanning over 8 years. He has worked on the design and development of handset reference designs. Chibuzo has held positions in BT as an IT analyst and in EDS as an IT consultant in the UK. He also worked as a network engineer in a telecommunications consulting firm, Telnet. Througout his career he has seen the mobile industry evolve and keeps a keen eye on the various trends, business models and emerging markets. He has given talks on Mobile 2.0 and the future of mobiles and does ongoing analysis of those areas.
Graduating with a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University of Lagos, Chibuzo went on to get an MSc from University of Warwick in Advanced Photonics and Communications. He is a member of the IET.
Robert Syputa, BSEE, MBA, is Senior Partner and has over 28 years experience in the broad field of electronics and eight years experience as a telecommunications industry analyst and consultant, particularly in the emerging fields of Next Generation Mobile Networks (4G) and converging business models. His background experience includes sales and marketing at Fairchild Semiconductor and sales management at Philips. Robert ran TEAM Associates, an independent manufacturer’s representative firm whose clients included Honeywell and GE-Druck. Several years ago, Syputa developed an interest in emerging wireless communications fields including CDMA, GSM cellular and 802.11/802.16 standards for WLAN and WMAN systems. He developed a broad understanding from grounds up analysis of the technologies, companies and business trends. He has consulted for both startup wireless companies and leaders in NGMN and investment groups. Robert co-authors Maravedis’ Industry reports and is author of WiMAX NGMN IPR Analysis Report and IPR Database and several additional industry segment reports. Mr. Syputa obtained a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering from Southern Polytechnic State University and a Masters of Business Administration from Seattle University.
